AGA serves government accountability professionals by providing quality education, fostering professional development and certification, and supporting standards and research to advance government accountability.

With more than 14,000 members across the country, AGA is the conduit that brings together people who wouldn't ordinarily have access to each other.  AGA members are local finance directors, state auditors and federal chief financial officers, but they all join for the same reason - access to an organization that represents the width and breadth of the profession.  AGA is a financial management organization with members in federal, state, and local government, as well as nonprofit and private sector members who are affected by or provide services to government.

President's Message

Updated January 25

With the excitement of the Super Bowl being in Indianapolis this year, don't lose track of all of the upcoming AGA events! On February 15, we will have a joint luncheon with ASMC. The newly announced director of Indianapolis, Mr. Aaron Gillison, will be the speaker. On February 8, there is an audio conference worth two CPEs covering Financial Management.

The biggest loser contest is in full swing. 28 AGA and 48 ASMC members participated in the January weigh in. If you didn't have a chance to sign up for biggest loser, be on the lookout for information about the upcoming wellness walk. You also earn incentive points for supporting the DFAS Wellness initiative by joining the DFAS Wellness page at www.milsuite.mil.

Finally, the Super Bowl in Indianapolis led to the opportunity to support our DFAS customers. I wanted our members to be aware that we donated $500 to the Wounded Warrior Big Game Event. The donation will help create a once-in-a-lifetime experience for fifty wounded and recovering Marines and Corpsmen from around the country who will attend the Super Bowl.
